Societe Generale became the first company to receive a cryptocurrency license in France. France's financial market regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, has officially greenflagged the company for providing digital asset custody services.

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget opens office in Dubai, plans expansion in the Middle East. The company said it has opened an office in downtown Dubai to support the expansion and will explore opportunities in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Additionally, Bitget said it has begun hiring for new roles, with some employees already being hired for intermediate and logistics positions.

Myanmar's first fully cryptocurrency-based banking institution, Spring Development Bank, has announced that it will run a trial on July 22.
