OpenSea developers launched Seaport Hooks

OpenSea and the Seaport working group have unveiled Seaport 1.6, the latest generation of the advanced NFT trading platform protocol in the EVM ecosystem. It introduces a new feature made possible by the recent Ethereum Dencun update - Seaport Hooks.

This technology works similarly to the hooks in Uniswap v4. Seaport Hooks allow developers to create applications that greatly expand the utility and liquidity of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

"Seaport Hooks" provide the ability to deploy arbitrary contracts that can be invoked with state preservation during order execution. As explained by the developers, these are something like plugins created on top of the protocol. The whitepaper describes all the details, but it generalizes to mean that token creators can plug in an arbitrary piece of code during any sale on Seaport.
