I think most people forget, is that it takes time to arm all the reps of the ETF providers to sell the new product.
Based on discussions with friends of mine in traditional finance, the seminars and workshops on “how” to sell are happening this week.
In my estimation it will take months to truly see how well the ETFs will add money into the market.
SHORTEST AVG ESTIMATE TIMELINE
Week 1 - calls to schedule discussion with clients
Week 2 - hold initial meeting and data gathering
Week 3 - 2nd pitch and follow up
Week 4 - close and sign paperwork
I understand that there are a number of people ready to deploy funds into the space AND if they were interested before the ETF, odds are they already put money into #btc and other crypto.
The target for the ETF are those family offices and finds that weren’t interested or were stuck on the fence. The new vehicle helps to normalize the asset class for them.
I thunk significant investment will enter, but it’s just the beginning of the due diligence on each of the approved ETFs and they are going to deploy ear-marked funds over time as a test.
